HBOT in Stavanger
HBOT – pressure chamber in Stavanger
At Gevity in Forus (Svanholmen 2) you can book hyperbaric oxygen therapy in a pressure chamber. 75 minutes, self-service booking in the app or online, and you see the price before you book.

What is HBOT?
HBOT stands for hyperbaric oxygen therapy. You rest in a pressure chamber and breathe air with a high oxygen content while the pressure in the chamber is slightly above normal air pressure. The combination of pressure and oxygen lets the body take up more oxygen than it otherwise would.
Many people experience a session in the chamber as a calm break in a busy day. HBOT is used for recovery and wellbeing, and is popular with both recreational athletes and people who simply want to give the body a little extra.
At Gevity the treatment is self-service: you book it yourself, come when it suits you, and see the price before you book.
What a session at Gevity is like
You arrive on the 3rd floor at Svanholmen 2 in Forus. There is plenty of parking right outside.
A normal HBOT session lasts around 75 minutes. You settle comfortably into the chamber, and a gentle increase in pressure begins. Many feel a light pressure in the ears, much like on a plane – you equalise it easily by swallowing or yawning.
When the session ends the pressure is lowered gently again before you step out. Avoid perfume and loose items in the chamber, and let us know in advance if you have a cold or a blocked nose.

Who it suits, and who should not
HBOT suits most adults who want a calm moment for recovery and wellbeing. Some people should not use a pressure chamber, however – for example with certain lung conditions, recent ear surgery or pregnancy.
Before your first session we ask you to read the contraindications and sign the health declaration. If in doubt, talk to your doctor first.
